Salsa Saturdays is a an original musical concept of having a Live Percussionist performing along side a DJ Mixing your favorite Salsa music accompanied by Salsa dance Instructor.
For the past 6 months once a month usually sometime in the middle of the month. Noth Miami beach gets ready to enjoy a unique Salsa music experience with great people at the Normandy Fountain Miami Beach. With performers like Tito Puente Jr., Jose Fajardo Jr., Raymer Olalde alone side DJ LeoMiami accompanied by Salsa / Zumba dance instructor Fernando Garcia. Fitness by Fernando.
It’s a blend that gives you that Live performance feeling with a live Dj mixing playing all your favorite Salsa music. The weather has been perfect, the music has been on point and the people (specially the Salsa dancers) were great.
It has been so much fun to have the instructor in front of you teaching all the great salsa steps. He created some good routines while everyone followed along. It was a perfect opportunity to burn some calories.
The idea emerged in 2019 thanks to the joint efforts of KCC Productions and David Sexton.
The latest event was from 6:30pm to 9:30 p.m. They had a Couple Salsa Dance Competition with $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third. Tito Puente Jr. was one of the judges with some local celebrity like Ray Guell and special guests.
Adult beverages were provided by new neighborhood bar, Bob’s Your Uncle with food by Capris Italian and Casa Marina. Free Art activities for the kids was provided by Painting with a Twist.
